Contract Drafting

 

Contract Drafting for is a new GCRMLS class which identifies common mistakes in contract drafting and how to avoid them. Contract Cost and Collective Bargaining II use a basic contract, D. G. Barnhouse, which has a number of flaws. The goal is to identify language which can be improved.

Several articles have long run on sentences which need to be re-written as short concise sentences without changing the meaning.  Missing Articles include subcontracting, sale of the company, cost of living, and extension of the contract to other company locations, stewards, Union bulletin board. 

The final judge of a contract may be an arbitrator. Common standards arbitrators apply to contracts will be reviewed to put the drafting into a context.
